JAM (Jesus and Me) Dance Ministry
Please save your bottles and cans for JAM, our dance ministry. There will be a container in the mall area starting Sunday, July 11th in which to place your cans and bottles. We will also pick up......just contact any JAM member, the McDowells at 249-1987 or the Rances at 777-5455. Your support is greatly appreciated!!
PUPPETS OF PRAISE (P.O.P)
ATTENTION BETHELITES! We are blessed to have Sis. Theresa M. Doyle as our instructor for the next two months every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Sis. Doyle is a highly experienced puppeteer. All interested men, women, teens and pre-teens please join us in this powerful new ministry. We need you!
We are presently in the process of creating props. We humbly ask for donations of brown paper grocery bags, empty plastic milk cartons (gallon or ½ gallon size), Elmers Glue, spray paint (all colors), newspapers, staplers and long black socks. ANNUAL SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
The Christina M. Goine’s Women’s Missionary Society in collaboration with the YPD’ers annual “Pack for Success” school supply drive is almost near. Please join our efforts to provide area children with school supplies. During the entire month of August, a table will be set up in the mall area for donations. For further information, please see Sis. Geraldine Peterson or Ola McMillan.
LAY ORGANIZATION
Information regarding the History of the Fourth District Lay Organization and the Michigan Conference Lay Organization is available in the mall area. Please pick up a copy to familiarize yourself on this most important organization in the AME church. Sis. Constance Billings
SUNDAY SCHOOL
During the summer months, our Sunday Church School will begin at 9:00 am.
THE THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
Our group has started its summer break. The group will remain on break until September. The date classes will resume will be posted later. Our luncheons on the 4th Thursday of each month at Horizons at 12:30 p.m., however, will continue throughout the summer. Have a great summer!
TUESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY
Bible study will resume on Tuesday, September 14, 2010! Please read the book of John while you are on summer break! Have a wonderful summer
BOARD MEETINGS
The Steward, Trustee and Official Boards will not meet during July and August. Our regular board meeting schedules will resume in September. Please check your bulletins for further details
THE NAACP MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Your membership is very important. Renew, upgrade, or sponsor someone else. Committee members (Katherine Atwater, Maria Brewer, Deborah Mack, Diana P. Simpson, or Gloria Thompson) will be available after each service to assist you.
