REV. DR. DESMON R. DANIEL

Desmon Daniel is a native of Saginaw, Michigan growing up on the East Side of the city. He attended and graduated from St. Mary's Cathedral High School in Saginaw, Michigan. After graduating from high school, Desmon attended Central Michigan University and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. He later returned to Central Michigan University, earning a Master of Arts degree in Administration. Desmon also earned his Master of Theology degree from Vanderbilt University and has completed a doctoral degree program in Education with Capella University.
Rev. Dr. Daniel currently serves as the Superintendent of the Bridgeport Spaulding School District.
He is currently employed by the Buena Vista School District as Principal of Buena Vista High School.
Rev. Daniel was ordained an Itinerant Elder during the 118th Michigan Annual Conference. He is the chaplain of the NAACP and a Board Member with the Advisory Board of St. Mary’s and a Board Member of the Saginaw Community Foundation. He is also a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. serving, currently, as Chaplain with the Saginaw Alumni Chapter.
Desmon Daniel is the CEO of Motivating Factor, an organization focused on motivating others to excel. He has delivered countless messages focused on helping others reach their life goals and has received numerous awards for his civic contributions, as well as, other lifetime achievements. Desmon's motto is, "Education Is A Liberating Process". Because of his leadership, knowledge and ability to deliver a timely, informative and whit-filled message, he is a highly sought after speaker in the community.
Rev. Thelma Williams
twilliams@bethelame-saginaw.orgThelma Ragland was born in Louisa County, Virginia on August 1, 1949, the fifth of eleven children. She graduated from A.G. Richardson High School in Louisa, Virginia. She had her first daughter, Sonya, after which she attended Norfolk University graduating with a B.S. degree in Special Education. She taught at Louisa County High School for three years. She also attended Central Michigan University and has been teaching in Saginaw, Michigan for 27 years. She is currently teaching at Webber Middle School.
Mrs. Thelma Hughes married Harold Williams and had two other children (Raven and Crystal) and three grandchildren (China, Calvin III and Anwar, Jr.).
Mrs. Williams answered her call to the ministry in November
of 1999. She was admitted to
the
Michigan Conference in August of 2000. She was ordained Rev.
Thelma Williams, Itinerant Deacon in August of 2002 at St.
Paul A.M.E. Church in Detroit, Michigan.
Rev. Williams currently serves as an Associate Minister to Pastor Saunders. She assists with the order of service, Communion, hospital visitations, funerals and other areas as needed. She is also an advisor to the youth usher board, a substitute teacher for the Christian Education Department, trainer/mentor for youth in the church and a volunteer for Vacation Bible School.
Rev. Williams’ favorite quotes are: “Kindness
never hurts anyone, in fact, it just might save your life
some day” ; and, “If I can help somebody as I
travel along the way, my living will not be in vain”.
Her favorite scriptures are Romans 8:37 - “In all these
things we are more than conquerors through him that loved
us and I Corinthians 13:13 – And now abideth faith,
hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Rev. Williams’ greatest desire is that everyone would
develop and keep a personal relationship with Christ….that
none shall perish and everyone will be saved.
REV. OMEGA D. PRICE

Reverend Omega D. Price is part of the ministerial staff at
Bethel A.M.E. Church in Saginaw, Michigan where she serves
as an Associate Minister. She is a preacher and teacher and
has dedicated her life to serving God. Rev. Omega Price is
the wife of Nathaniel Price, Sr. and the mother of four wonderful
adult children: Angela, Tonya, Nathaniel II and Gregory. She
is also grandmother to three beautiful grand-children: Rodney
Jr., A’Tonia and Daelyn.
Rev. Price is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. Her fellowship with the Lord began at Lee’s Chapel A.M.E. Church. She completed her secondary studies in Birmingham, Alabama then went on to complete her undergraduate studies at Tuskegee University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Elementary Education. After completion of her undergraduate studies, Rev. Price expanded her horizons by accepting a teaching position with the Saginaw Public School system. She has been an educator with the school system for over 36 years, with an emphasis in Special and General Education. In 1976, she attained her Master of Arts degree in Education/Reading from Central Michigan University. Her next goal is to pursue a degree in Theology.
Rev. Price’s chief pursuit in life is to do God’s will. Jesus is her source and has sustained her through many trials and struggles. She is a bold, gentle spirit, who is always about her Father’s business. Rev. Omega knows that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her, as she presses toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
